About the website

Our site works well in modern browsers in mobile phones, computers and tablets, such as newer versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

Accessibility

SJ is for everyone and we want as many as possible to be able to use sj.se and the services and functions that are available on the website. We are aware that not everything works optimally on the website today, but we are constantly working to get better.

The website will in the long run undergo a number of changes and then we make sure that accessibility is included as an obvious part of the work.
We collaborate with accessibility experts from Useit and have an internal accessibility team that reviews components and work processes. Our ambition is to regularly test new features with disabled users.

Examples of parts of sj.se that are not currently available:

  • Book a compartment on a night train
  • To select a seat using the seat map
  • Some content pages with insufficient contrasts and text against background

Acrobat Reader is required to read the PDF files on our website. You can download Acrobat Reader from Adobe's website.

About cookies

SJS COOKIE POLICY

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND WHAT DO WE USE THEM FOR?

SJ uses so-called cookies on its websites. A cookie is a small data file with text stored in your browser.

There are two types of cookies: permanent cookies and session cookies. Permanent cookies are stored as a file on your computer for a certain period of time, until the visitor to the site itself, or the server that sent them, deletes them. Session cookies are temporarily stored while the visitor is browsing a web page and disappear when the visitor closes their browser.

Cookies can be either first-party or third-party cookies. First-party cookies are placed by the website you are visiting while third-party cookies are placed by a different party/website than the one you are visiting. For example, third-party cookies are often used by ad networks to identify a particular user and use information about how the user consumed content on the various websites and display (customized) marketing messages on the sites that are part of the network.

2. HOW SJ USES COOKIES
