Karta Arctic Circle

Sweden's most scenic train route

The Arctic Circle Pass allows you to hop on and off trains along what is quite possibly the most scenic train route in Sweden, Kiruna - Narvik.

This is where you can experience the Northern Lights or Midnight Sun, depending on season.

The train stops here:

Abisko Östra
Abisko Turiststation

Where to go

There are in total 13 stops on the route and you can, for example, alight at Abisko station to experience one of Europe’s oldest national parks. In the mid-winter it is the world's best place to see the northern lights.

Björkliden is another popular destination from where it’s possible to make a day hike to Låktatjåkko fjällstation, Sweden’s highest placed mountain lodge.

The train will cross the border at Riksgränsen station and you can choose to remain on board all the way to the Norwegian city of Narvik.
