Here is a list of upcoming track works that affect SJ's traffic. The information below if preliminary, the exact effect on these departures is determined shortly before we make tickets available for booking. Go to sj.se and search for your journey to see the updated timetable.

Eastern Sweden

Stockholm – Bålsta

Line: Stockholm–Västerås–Örebro–Göteborg
Period: 4 July–15 August
Effect: The trains will start and stop in Bålsta insted of Stockholm, and will be replaced by buss between Bålsta and Sundbyberg and Bålsta and Stockholn Cityterminalen (bus terminal).
Bus stops during the maintenance work

  • Bålsta: Bus terminal adjacent to the train station.
  • Sundbyberg: Buses to Stockholm: Bus stop closest to the track, to the right, on Järnvägsgatan. Buses to Bålsta: Bus stop to the right on Järnvägsgatan, by Hemköp (please cross the street).
  • Stockholm: Cityterminalen bus terminal (for gate, please see information monitors in Cityterminalen).

 

Eskilstuna – Kungsör/Kvicksund

Line: Sala–Västerås–Katrineholm–Linköping, Stockholm–Eskilstuna–Arboga
Period: 12–13 September (night-time 22:20–03:20), 14 September (22:00)–19 September (03:20)

Effect: The trains will depart from and stop in Åmål, instead of Karlstad and replacement bus will take you between Åmål and Karlstad.

 

Varberg

Line: Göteborg–Malmö
Period: 24–26 September (all hours), 11–15 oktober (daily 09:00–15:00)
Effect: The trains will be cancelled part of the route and will be replaced by bus.

 

Göteborg – Säffle

Line: Göteborg–Karlstad

Bus stops

  • Malmö: Utställningsgatan at 5 minutes walking distance from Malmö C.
  • Lund, departures: Bus stop H and J at Lund C station.
  • Lund, arrivals: Bus stop R at Lund C station. 

Please follow the signal boards with orange arrows leading you to the bus stops. Staff will be at the stations to guide you most hours. 

Night trains will take a different route and will not stop in Lund, but will depart from, and arrive to, Malmö.
