Travel while you sleep and reach your destination well-rested and in good time!

Are you ready for an adventure? Take the night train from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north! We offer a wide range of comfort categories, from a bunk in a 6-berth couchette to a 1st Class private compartment containing a WC/shower, where breakfast, a morning newspaper and access to the SJ Lounge are all included.

There is plenty of good food and good wine available on the train. We choose our food and wines in accordance with the seasons, purchase locally when we can, and always make sure that they are perfectly suited.

Cinema on the train

Take the opportunity to catch the latest films while you travel. Most departures to and from Jämtland have a cinema onboard the train, where two still-in-cinema films are shown each evening. We also show a film for children during the morning.

Good Environmental Choice

All journeys on SJ’s electric trains comply with the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation’s tough regulations – and are therefore permitted to carry the Good Environmental Choice label. When you travel by night train through Sweden, you can do so with a clean conscience. Our trains whisk you from city centre to city centre – which is why we also offer excellent discounts to events, entertainment facilities and well-known tourist attractions.

From Malmö C to Svågertorp/Malmö Syd

Due to the comprehensive renovation work taking place at Malmö C, SJ's night train departures to Jämtland have been moved from Malmö C to Svågertorp/Malmö Syd. If you purchased your ticket before this disruption, you will be contacted and given a new booking by SJ Customer Services.
