Slip/slide occurs during the autumn when leaves fall from the trees and land on the tracks. Depending on the quantity of leaves and the prevailing weather conditions, the rails can become slippery.
Snow and cold
Winter can bring significant variations in temperature and heavy snowfalls, which can have a major impact on rail traffic.
Sun kinks can occur during the summer when there are big temperature differences and the rails heat up and expand.
